Chairman Smathers announces resignation,
to step down in May
Chairman Tom Smathers announced at the March Executive
Committee meeting that he will resign from the chairman's
position after the May meeting.
Smathers said he will be unable to devote full time to the
duties because of time away from Seneca County during the
summer months.
A new chair will be elected at the May meeting.
We wish Chairman Smathers the best and appreciate the time
and talents he has devoted to the Seneca County
Democrats.

Another Wine & Chocolates!
Another Chairman's Wine & Chocolates evening is being planned for April 19, 2013.
This has been
a very enjoyable evening with a silent wine auction, great wine and chocolates, and great friendship.

Committee workers needed
Chair Smathers is looking for a few good men and women to
serve as members of the different working committees. If you
have the time and talent your services would be greatly
appreciated.
Committees meet at 6:30 PM on Executive Committee meeting
nights which are usually the second Thursday of each month.
Additional meetings may be necessary in order to carry out the
committee's plan.
Some committees needing members are:
- Bylaws
- Works to improve our Central Committee constitution
and bylaws
- Publicity
- Works on ways to get the word out about our mission
and activities
- Fundraising
- Works on projects that will help us raise money for
operating and campaign expenses
- Fair
- Makes sure we are organized and able to meet with
fairgoers in our tent
- Correspondence
- Works to formulate, send and respond to correspondence
especially about issues and elections

All of our Democratic candidates are looking for volunteers. All campaigns are important. We need to get our candidates elected! You can contact the candidates directly or send an email to volunteer@senecademocrats.org and they will be forwarded to the candidates. In your email include your name, email address, phone number and which candidates for whom you would volunteer.

Cardinal Club
The Cardinal Club is a very special group within the Seneca County
Democratic Central Committee. Club members donate $100 or
more to fund activities that work directly to elect Seneca County
Democrats to office or for issue campaigns that
the committee endorses.
Cardinal Club donations are above and beyond any other
fundraising efforts of the Central Committee. Club members
receive special recognition for their extra efforts.

Committee or Executive Committee you could have your own
SenecaDemocrats.Org email address.
This is especially helpful when you don't wish to have your
personal email address public. There are two ways you can get
an address.
1. You can have email going to your SenecaDemocrats.Org
address be forwarded to your personal address. For
example:

going to the committee address gets sent "blind" to your Yahoo

2. You can set up an account in your Microsoft Outlook,

You will receive all of the setup information and can send
/ receive email using your committee address.
